LUKKAROINEN ARCHITECTS TO JOIN SOLWERS

Today, 30th November, the shareholders of Solwers Plc and Lukkaroinen Architects Ltd have signed a contract on the acquisition of all shares of Lukkaroinen Architects. The acquisition supports the growth strategy of Solwers and strengthens its position as a provider of architectural services.

Lukkaroinen Architects Ltd was founded in 1980 in Oulu and today employs 77 people in Oulu and Helsinki. The company’s net sales in 2020 were EUR 6.0 million and operating result EUR 0.5 million. The company’s core expertise is architectural design, which includes building design, interior design and land-use planning. Its customers are mainly public organizations and construction companies. The company has completed numerous demanding design projects with more currently being planned Well-known design works include the award-winning Hirsikampus in Pudasjärvi, Hiukkavaaratalo, Kuopion Kaarisairaala (University hospital) and the Salmisaari Sports Center in Helsinki. Lukkaroinen Architects will continue to operate under their own name and with the same personnel.

The acquisition supports the implementation of Solwers’ growth strategy, strengthens Solwers’ position in Northern Finland and architectural services in Helsinki, increases the number of employees by nearly 20 per cent and supports medium-term financial targets. With the transaction, Solwers will become an even stronger supplier of architectural services. Lukkaroinen Architects Ltd will be consolidated into Solwers as soon as 1 December 2021
