Solwers Plc, Company Release, May 26, 2025, at 15:30 EEST
Solwers Plc's subsidiary Finnmap Infra Oy has submitted a response to the Helsinki District Court on May 26, 2025, regarding the compensation claim made by Kreate Oy, announced on February 21, 2025. Additionally, Finnmap Infra has filed a counterclaim of 1.07 million euros with the Helsinki District Court.
The basis of Kreate’s original claim is an alleged breach of performance related to the development phase of the E18 Turku ring road between Kausela and Pukkila. The total amount of the claim is approximately 2.46 million euros. In addition, Kreate has demanded the payment of party costs and legal fees.
In its response, Finnmap Infra denies Kreate's claims both in terms of their basis and amount and demands the dismissal of the claim. The counterclaim is based on the negligence under Kreates responsibility and the resulting damages, as well as the compensation for additional and modification works. Furthermore, in its response and counterclaim, Finnmap Infra demands compensation for the legal costs incurred. The parties have been in settlement negotiations since 2023.
If the matter is not settled, the compensation claims will be finally resolved in court proceedings. Solwers will inform about the progress of the case and the outcome of the proceedings in accordance with applicable regulations and marketplace rules.
Solwers does not see the claim having a significant impact on the group's operations. The company also has liability insurance taken out on standard terms, which is intended to cover costs incurred to the company from possible design errors.
